Featuring colourful costumes, simple African instruments, and sometimes a blend of the Western instruments, JayNii Cultural Troupe perform live, vibrant and entertaining African Folklore, Contemporary. Afro fusion Music, Drumming and Dance that provides its audience with fun, lasting memories and bring the Spirit of Africa to events worldwide
The group perform irresitible traditional rhythms, chants and singing accompanied by energetic routine dances that fill audience with joy, energy and get them participating in the fun and celebrating mood. Our rhythms are accessible dance grooves ideal for all to dance with. Audience participation in our drumming, singing and dance has always been fun
With musical albums to its credit, Jaynii Troupe showcase on most of the national TVs, run workshops and performed both locally and internationally alongside great artistes like Salif Keita, Rita Marley, Fumi Kuti, Osibisa and in the UK, Sweden, France, South Africa and have won awards
The group selects, unearth, train and develop artistic and creative skill / talents in young ones and provide them with the platform to make use of their creativity through the Alokoto Festival alokotocarnival.wixsite.com/alokotocarnival
Jaynii uses its proceeds to support the poor in deprived communities via the Streetwise Project www.jaynii.com
JayNii Troupe was founded in Accra, Ghana in 1997 by Artistic Director / versatile Musician Emmanuel Quartey and Naa Borkor Quartey, a distinguished choreographer, dancer, instrumentalist, dance teacher and consultant of International reputation.
