It all started as 'Having fun, Helping the needy' - supporting the youth to stand on their feet through Culture, Arts, Music, and dance as part of Jaynii Streetwise Organisation www.jayniiwise.com objectives to keep underprivileged youth off the streets, into the classroom, and offer them the opportunity to unearth their skills and make use of their creativity. From the corners of the streets to the beaches of the Accra coast, where one can find the most creative talents comes the Jaynii Cultural Troupe that taps these talents, uneath, instill, develop, and provide them the platform to make use of their creativity.  

Featuring colourful costumes, African instruments, and sometimes a blend of Western instruments, JayNii Cultural Troupe performs live, vibrant, and entertaining African Folklore, Contemporary, Afro-fusion Music, Drumming, and Dance that provide its audience with fun, lasting memories and bring the Spirit of Africa to events worldwide

The group performs irresistible traditional rhythms, chants, and singing accompanied by energetic routine dances that fill the audience with joy, and energy and get them participating in the fun and celebrating mood. Our rhythms are accessible dance grooves ideal for all to dance with. Audience participation in our drumming, singing and dance has always been fun

With musical albums to its credit, Jaynii Troupe showcased on most of the national television, run workshops, and performed both locally and internationally alongside great artistes like Salif Keita, Rita Marley, Fumi Kuti, Osibisa, and in the UK, Sweden, France, South Africa and have won awards

The group selects, unearth, train, and develop artistic and creative skill/talents in young ones and provide them with the platform to make use of their creativity through the Alokoto Festival alokotocarnival.wixsite.com/alokotocarnival

JayNii Troupe was founded in Accra, Ghana in 1997 by Artistic Director / versatile Musician Emmanuel Quartey and Naa Borkor Quartey, a distinguished choreographer, dancer, instrumentalist, dance teacher, and consultant of International reputation.
